To provide each disabled student with comprehensive programs and services appropriate to his/her needs consistent with Federal, State and Local laws, policies, and guidelines.
To provide systems of support to the regular or general education program designed to help it teach and manage a broader range of individual differences.
To provide support in the determination of the need for a comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation to improve educational outcomes for all students.
To ensure that no qualified disabled student shall, based on disability, be excluded from participation in or be denied the benefits of any program or activity.
To ensure that individualized Education Programs (IEP) with parent input are prepared for all students with disabilities.
To provide quality in-service programs for special services personnel and other staff which are designed to improve services to disabled students.
To ensure a close working relationship with the community and its agencies to promote the understanding and acceptance of disabled persons within the community.
To provide for an on-going evaluation of the special services program to insure program improvements when appropriate.
