The Crusades

The Crusades were started after Christians from Western Europe started a war against the Muslims in 1095. The first crusades goal was to take Jerusalem, which was achieved in 1099. The Muslims vowed to rage Holy war. The Christian allies in the Byzantine Empire of the Crusaders were in the third crusade. The Mamluk dynasty in Egypt towards the end of thirteenth century hit the Crusaders last which finished them off and driving the European invaders out of Syria and the Palestine in1291.
