The Reformation

The Reformation(making changes in order to improve it) was a 16th century movement for the reform of abuses in the Roman Catholic Church ending in the formation of the Reformed and Protestant Churches(churches that have accepted the principles of the Reformation). In Northern and Central Europe reformers challenged papal (relating to the pope) authority and questioned the Catholic's church abilities into knowing what Christian practice was. They argued for religious and political reorganization of power. This caused wars, persecutions, and the Counter-Reformation. Martin Luther was the father of Reformation and made a big impact, the start of the Reformation began in 1500 and ended in 1648.
