Rise and spread of Islam
The Rise and Spread of Islam was fueled by the "prophet" Muhammad and his followers. Islam originated from the Arabian Peninsula in 610 AD and now has 23% of the world population converted to it. After Muhammad's death, Islam spread rapidly through conversion of "non-believers" by the military conquests of the caliphs. The Muslims attempted to invade Europe and in turn, started the Crusades. The spread of Islam was mostly by military conquest and hostile force as opposed to peaceful conversion; this caused the start of wars and the beginning of a new faith.
