Mongols and Islam

The Mongols and Islam was a very steady development throughout the time period. The Mongols wanted to convert to Islam and finally the majority of the Khanates that made the empire decided to adopt the religion of Islam for their state. With this relation between them, it had a huge impact on China's connection with the outside world because the Mongols had a number of Muslims help rule over China. The rulers of the Mongol Empire needed help from these outsiders because they couldn't rely on anyone else. Also the Mongols used the Islamic scholars just because they knew they were advanced in their studies and that would help their empire way more. Islam really complimented the Mongols with all the guidance they gave them.
