Mongolian Eurasia

The Eurasian steppe is the vast steppe ecoregion of Eurasia that stretches throughout Europe and Asia. The Mongol steppe includes both Mongolia and the Chinese province of Inner Mongolia, which is separated by the Golbi Desert. The south is the high and thinly peoples part of the Mongol steppe, while the north is a belt of moderately dense population. In the southeast the Silk Road led over some hills to the east- following Wei River valley which led to the north China Plain.
