Kent Staneart - Head Coach
Coach Staneart ran HS track and XC at Caroline High School in Virginia before competing at St. Andrews College and Spring Arbor College. He ran events from the 400 meters through the 10K. His coaching career began 28 years ago at Montrose Christian School where he coached XC, basketball and track. He also coached basketball and track in SC and FL before taking over the head track job at Loudoun Valley in 2005. He moved over to Woodgrove upon it's opening in 2010 where he has been the head coach since.
Rob Pettit - Assistant Head Coach / Throws Coach
Rob Pettit began coaching shot put and discus for the 2017-2018 school year. Outside of Woodgrove, Dr. Pettit is an adjunct professor of computer science for George Mason University and also leads mission assurance efforts for spaceflight software at The Aerospace Corporation. Dr. Pettit lives in Round Hill and is a USATF Level 1 certified coach.
Robert Zach - Hurdles/Sprints
Has officiated/coached soccer for over 30 years and has coached the hurdles and sprints in track and field at various times during his career. He has been the hurdles sprints coach at Woodgrove for the last four years. He has sent multiple athletes to all-state level including one state champion last year.
Todd Turner - Jumps/sprints
Coach Turner is a former division 1 track and field athlete where he competed at George Mason in the jumping and sprinting events. He currently serves as the girls JV basketball team. He is in his second year as Woodgrove's full-time jumps coach and sprints coach
Scott Burns - Distance
Head Boys/Girls Cross Country Coach
Responsible for training distance runners for indoor/outdoor Track & Field. Has coached in this capacity for 32 years between Handley, Loudoun Valley and Woodgrove's programs. He resides in Winchester, VA. and am originally from Northwest PA.
Began coaching with us this season as a volunteer with sprints and mid-distance runners.
