THS School Counseling Director
This is the 5th year Jennifer Reed will lead the dynamic School Counseling Team. A former military spouse, has lived in Charleston S.C, Virginia Beach V.A, Ashburn, V.A, South Bend Indiana and Cairo, Egypt. Jennifer retuned to Loudoun County in 2015 and after spending a year at Loudoun Valley, she headed to Tuscarora. “I tell anyone who asks what I do for a living that I LOVE my job” and after 30 years as an educator, it still holds true. Jennifer has two grown children and loves to relax by reading, shopping and spending time with her puppy Stacey.

My name is Tracy Mandina and I serve as a school counselor for students with the last names beginning with A-Cof as well as AVID students. I graduated from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, NY, with a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Education in School Counseling. I starting working at Tuscarora High School in 2014. Prior to that, I worked in Prince George's County, Maryland as a school counselor for 7th years. For the past few years, I have been a co-sponsor for the Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Club.

Greetings, Huskies! I have been a school counselor for Loudoun County Public Schools since 2000 and am thrilled to be a THS Husky! My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in Education from Virginia Tech.
I have been blessed with three children (ages 2, 13, and 15) who make parenthood both challenging and rewarding. I enjoy spending time with my family, going on hikes, gardening, cooking, playing with my two Boston Terriers, and listening to music!!!
This year I have the privilege of working with our students with the last names COG-HAC and our AVID 2 & 3 students. I look forward to helping our students as they prepare for their post-secondary school journeys. Let's RISE to make those dreams a reality!
THS School Counselor HAD-McA and CAMPUS
Mr. Han is in his 12th year as a school counselor! He is one of the charter members at Tuscarora and is very excited to start the 2020 school year! He will serve students from grades 9th-12th with the last name of HAD-MCA along with students in the CAMPUS program. Mr. Han spends most of his free time with his kids playing Wii Sports!

Hi Tuskies! My name is Megan Beardsley. This is my fourth year at Tuscarora. I LOVE it! No better counseling department in the world! I live in Fairfax, and have two kids in high school. I love music, binging TV shows, cooking, and being outdoors. I have an English Bulldog named Squash who is definitely the cutest and most defiant member of my family. I am excited for this year...CHEERS
THS School Counselor SCHI-Z
Hello Huskies! I am Mrs. Charmo and this is my 3rd year as a School Counselor at Tuscarora. Also, I serve as a PEER sponsor at Tuscarora. I received my undergraduate degree at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and was a middle school social studies teacher for five years at PA Cyber Charter School. I received my master's degree in School Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work I enjoy traveling, watching college/NFL football (HUGE Steelers, Pitt, and Penn State fan), and binge watching TV shows! I also enjoying spending my time with my husband our 9 month old daughter Peyton James, and our two labradoodles Piper and Callie!
THS School Psychologist
My name is Benjamin Fernandez and I serve as the school psychologist for Tuscarora High School and also serve LCPS as one of the lead school psychologists. I completed my bachelor’s in psychology from Canisius College, in Buffalo, NY and completed my master’s degree in school psychology and counseling at Bucknell University, in PA. I have been practicing as a school psychologist for 25 years, with 20 in Loudoun County.
THS Student Assistant Specialist (SAS)
Although this is my first year at Tuscarora, I have been working as a consultant to or employee of LCPS since 2001! As the Student Assistance Specialist, my primary responsibility is to provide substance use education, prevention, and early intervention to students in middle and high school. I currently split my time between the Tuscarora and Riverside clusters. I received my masters of education in community agency counseling from George Mason University. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I am super excited to work with you in the 2021-2022 school year!
