Elective A rigorous study in a global context, International Baccalaureate (IB) Business Management approaches the business world holistically. The course empowers students to think critically and strategically about individual and organizational behavior; promotes awareness of environmental, social, and ethical factors in business; explores organizations across sectors and socio-cultural and economic contexts; and develops student understanding of the importance of innovation. Using the IB-provided curriculum, business case studies, and real-world companies and challenges, students discuss, analyze, and evaluate business activities and the nature of change locally, nationally, and internationally. Students will uncover key business characteristics while developing an understanding of the functions of human resource management, finance, marketing, and operations management. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills.
