The 2024 LIS Orientation will be held on Sunday, March 22nd at Rock Ridge HS. The purpose of the Orientation is to give all of the 25 delegations the opportunity to showcase their cultures and visual presentations of their country. Each group will be able to take time to view all of the global displays as we all participate in activities to get to know each other.
Each school must bring and prepare materials that highlight their country, school, and culture for a “cultural exhibition” to held during the summit.
A tri-fold board that averages .5 x1 meters will be provided for your school to assemble once you arrive at the summit. Some suggestions of what to prepare:
Lots of pictures - These should be printed and organized prior to arriving to the Summit.
Show what a day in your life would be like (weekends and weekdays)
Show/describe your school
Famous icons of your country (tourist favorites)
Culture: food (prepared at host home or pictures), clothing, holidays/festivals, language, etc.
Be creative! Use pictures, video, music, art… whatever you think will capture the attention of your peers and best tell about your country, school, and culture
Please bring $15.00 US so that you can purchase the lunch of your choice.
