About Me

Anna Buckwalter received her Master’s Degree in German Language and Literature, she also received her BA in teaching German language. Additional classwork has been completed through the University of Virginia here in Northern Virginia. She been employed as a Loudoun County teacher of German since opening of the Riverside High School in Leesburg in 2015. Mrs. Buckwalter sponsors a chapter of the Delta Epsilon Phi, the German National Honor Society at Heritage. She is also one of the curriculum leaders. In 2008, the German program at Heritage became a member of the PASCH worldwide initiative "Schools: Partners for the Future." There are only 13 German high school programs in the United States designated with this honor. Coordinated by the Federal Foreign Office in Germany, this program provides classroom funding and study trips to Germany for Heritage faculty. Furthermore, two selected students of German attend seminars in Germany each year provided by the Goethe-Institute.
