SRP is going digital! We have been working to make a streamlined experience that’s easy and intuitive for all. The theme this year is Once Upon a Summer. Think fairy tales, castles and whimsical creatures.

SRP registration begins June 11^th and the final day to submit your challenge card will be August 23^rd.

Our weekly summer programs will be shared on Wednesdays at 1pm starting June 17^th and will continue through August 19^th. These will be a combination of pre-recorded videos and live-streamed programs brought to you by outside presenters.

There is a new online registration and tracking system.The whole process can be broken down to four easy steps.

Create a SRP login.

1. This is a unique login and password and only one login is needed per household
1. Register yourself and add all household members to your login.
   1. Add as many members to your login as needed. Be sure to add yourself as the login is not the same as registering

1. View your age specific challenge card and mark your completion
   1. There are challenges specific to each of the four age groups: Birth – 5, Elementary, Teen, Adult.
   2. You can substitute any of the challenges by either reading for 30 minutes or by attending an online program.
2. Once you’ve submitted your complete challenge card….Congratulations! You’ve completed the 2020 Summer Reaching Program. We anticipate (if funding is approved) that those completing the program will entered into a grand prize drawing for an e-giftcard and receive a free book to reward them for their hard work.

Patrons who wish to complete the program offline can do so by downloading and printing out a blank challenge card, and the challenge bookmark that contains their age-specific challenges. You will still need to create a login and submit a card online in order to be counted towards the grand prize drawing.

School Summer Reading Trophy – Elementary schools! Does your school have a ton of summer readers? By signing up for the Summer Reading Program, you help your school win a fantastic trophy, custom made by the LCPL makerspace staff. The more of your classmates who sign up, the greater the chance of your school taking home the trophy.
