Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Required for all liquor licensees and staff who have liquor service responsibilities. This includes volunteers and club directors who serve liquor from time to time. This training program is also required to be undertaken by security staff who have crowd control duties at licensed premises.
After successfully completing this course, students are issued with a photo card.
The competency card is valid for five years. You will need to renew the card before the expiry date on the card.
To serve liquor in the Club canteen you must have an RSA
Holders of paper RSA Certificates are advised that they are being phased out. Even although you were probably told at the time they have no expiry date, the legislation has changed. Holders of expired paper certificates can be fined by NSW Police or inspectors from the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing.
