The Sherbrooke Academy School Libraries are flexible library learning commons for both large and small group activities. They have a wide selection of reading and research materials in English and French to support classroom learning and to encourage leisure reading. The collections include print and digital resources. Library materials are carefully selected based on the school curriculum, teacher requests, award-winning publications, and student needs and interests.

Students come to the library weekly for story time and to borrow books. Loans are for one week. Library books can be renewed for a second week if needed.

Classes may also come to the library for additional visits to do research or to participate in activities such as author visits and group projects.

Please help your children remember to return their library book(s) every week.

The school board has a book club for our Grades 5 and 6 students.

Each month, books are chosen by the school librarians and purchased for the school library. The book club encourages students to broaden their reading interests and exposes them to popular literature.

Volunteers are always welcome!

We give a heartfelt thanks to our wonderful volunteers. They are vital to making the libraries run smoothly and successfully. If you are interested in becoming a library volunteer, please contact Ms. Suzanne Halton-Thom at shalton@lbpsb.qc.ca or leave your name with the school secretary. All library volunteers are required to fill out a judicial record declaration form (available at the school main office).

Having problems with the library software, REGARD? Check the REGARD for Volunteers website to see if it is a school board-wide problem or to report a local problem.
