This invite-only workshop provides a collaborative scientific forum to investigate the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing control. It focuses on data-driven methodologies to overcome bottlenecks in operating a quantum processor. The workshop will review the state-of-the-art application of AI technologies across physical, architectural, and quantum circuit levels. The workshop also explores how AI reshapes the development and operational workflows of quantum control systems.
Intended topics in this workshop include AI technologies for control and measurement in different physical qubit modalities; AI for quantum error correction and logical circuit compilation, from system architecture to decoder implementation; and infrastructure and machine learning techniques of interest.
The objective of this workshop is to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations. We aim to exchange and assess methodologies and encourage the AI community to contribute to quantum computing.
The scientific committee will synthesise the discussions from this workshop into a comprehensive, purely scientific white paper. All invited participants are encouraged to contribute to the white paper. This white paper will serve as a technical blueprint to guide future research and development at the interface of AI and quantum engineering.
