• Correct & Reteach: Speak with student about the importance of respect and following directions.

• Restorative Tasks: Assist student with understanding impact of problem behavior and identifying appropriate behavior to model. Student apology to staff member and mediation between student and staff member.

• Replacement Behavior: Create opportunity for student to have positive interactions with staff member (i.e. helping in the classroom, eating lunch together). Have student help/assist staff member during recess. Praise student for following directions and being respectful.

• Consequences

1st offense: Meeting with student to discuss behavior, apology note to staff member.

2nd offense: Spend recess helping staff member.

3rd offense: Contact parents for assistance with behavior modification.

• Follow up (if needed)

4th offense: If behavior persists, continue parent contact, conference with Admin and SSW.
