There are also some cons about TikTok. There are rumors saying that TikTok steals your personal information. TikTok can have some inappropriate videos too, like bad challenges. TikTok also can be very addictive too, which is not good.

If you want to be safe on TikTok, you have to first make sure your parents set a privacy setting on TikTok account. This will keep you safe from strangers. Don’t do every challenge that you see on TikTok because some of them can really hurt you physically and mentally. Also, if you are unsure about something on TikTok, ask your parents about it. They might be able to help you.

If you want to make videos on the platform, it comes at a free cost, not like some social media platforms. Another pro about YouTube is that its service is easy to use. It is also a good source to earn income because of making videos. It can also help you connect with people in other countries. Let me show you an example. You can be in, let's say, Canada, and post videos that can reach someone in New Zealand.

Cons

Inappropriate content can also be posted on the platform which is not good for younger audiences. Bullying can also be done on the platform which can damage one's mental health. It is also hard to become popular on the platform. It can take you years to just get noticed on the platform, unlike other platforms. On other platforms, you can post a video or a picture and get a million views and likes very quickly.

Over 500 hours of content is uploaded to YouTube every minute. YouTube is the second most popular website in the world. YouTube also makes 15 billion dollars in a year. 1.8 billion people visit YouTube in a month. That number increased in 2022.
