The Venus Flytrap belongs to a group of carnivorous plants and due to poachers, they are on the verge of becoming an endangered species. They release a sweet scent that attracts their favorite food, flies.
The Venus Flytrap is a carnivore. They snap closed on their victims and release this liquid to break down their victims. AND ... they are not the only meat eating plants! There are about 630 different meat eating plants scattered around the world.
