What is Mastery Learning and Grading?
Mastery Learning and Grading is a growth-mindset approach to K-12 teaching and learning, based on the expectation that everyone can learn when provided with the right conditions and support. It offers all students and teachers an alternative to traditional instruction and grading. By refocusing classroom grading, assessment, instruction, and lesson planning on clear learning targets, and by implementing research-based systems honoring individual variation in learning styles, Mastery Learning and Grading allows more students to succeed academically and ultimately to take charge of their own learning.What is Mastery Learning and Grading?

SATURDAY SALARY POINT CLASS
SATURDAY SALARY POINT CLASS
Currently, we have TWO salary point classes held on Saturdays across four local districts. Each of these four options, meets on 6 separate Saturdays and participants can earn a salary point or request compensation. This PD opportunity will be held virtually, and time may vary for each of the options due to facilitator scheduling. Anyone interested can register through MyPLN and search ‘Mastery Salary’.
VIRTUAL PD SERIES
VIRTUAL PD SERIES
For school groups of twelve or more, the PD series entails six two-hour, virtual workshops scheduled approximately two to three weeks apart to allow participants time to reflect and engage in the eight hours of asynchronous online learning. Upon completion of all virtual workshops and asynchronous online learning, participants will earn MLG certification. To register, fill out the Google form in the link: https://bit.ly/3s4n2IQ
