Secondary Literacy/ELA Professional Development
Registration for the following PD opportunities is open to Local District Northeast teachers, instructional support staff, and administrators in grades 6-12 only.
Powerful professional development opportunities for developing the expertise necessary for improving teaching and enhancing student learning through deliberate practice.
At the end of this self-study course, participants will understand that:
The backward design process can streamline year-long, unit, and daily lesson planning.
More intentional instructional decisions can be made when guided by enduring understandings aligned to the CA Common Core State Standards for Literacy/English Language Arts.
Participants who complete this self-study course in its entirety will be eligible to receive a certificate of completion for five (5) hours of professional development.
