Step 1: Check Your Eligibility
Before applying, make sure you meet the academic and attendance requirements for a work permit.
If you do not currently qualify, you must show eligibility for at least 25 school days before requesting an application.
Step 2: Look for a Job
Begin your job search and request a Work Permit Application from Ms. Irani, PSA Counselor (Room Z-7).
Step 3: Job Interview
Complete an interview with your potential employer.
Step 4: Employer Signature
Have your employer complete and sign the appropriate section of the Work Permit Application.
Step 5: Submit Your Form
Return the signed application to Ms. Irani in Room Z-7 to receive your official work permit.
Please note: Work permit processing takes approximately 3 business days, so plan ahead and do not wait until the last minute.
Work Permit checklist:
My attendance rate has been 96–100% (0–1 absences) in the past 25 school days (excluding holidays).
I have attended all classes on time in the past 25 school days (0–3 tardies).
I have attended all class periods and provided an excuse note if I missed any.
I have provided notes for all absences.
I currently have C’s or better in all classes.
I have met behavior expectations for the past 25 school days (no discipline referrals).
If you answered yes to the questions above, move on to step2.
If you answered no to any of these questions, you do not currently qualify; you must show eligibility for at least 25 school days before requesting an application.
