Get Active & Have Fun This Half Term – Free Sports Sessions for Young Carers!
What an incredible afternoon we had on Monday as we celebrated our annual PEPA's Got Talent Show! Our talented students truly shone, showcasing an array of remarkable performances that left us all in awe!
From enchanting singing and creative raps to energetic dancing, exquisite sketching, impressive gymnastics, and even captivating puppetry – the talent was truly limitless! Not to mention our brilliant displays of musical instrument skills, sensational football tricks, spot-on dart throws, and unforgettable horse riding, diving, and roller skating performances!
A huge congratulations to all who auditioned and took to the stage – your courage and creativity are what make our school so special! 👏
A special shout-out goes to our winner, Charlie in Year 4 who was playing the drums! He has earned an exciting prize of tickets to see Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure at The Central Theatre this half term! As voted by each class, in 2nd place was Freya S with her gymnastics skills and in joint 3rd place was Jaynee and Mia with dance/gymnastics and Poppi - Anne with her puppet show.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our brilliant performers. We can't wait to see what next year's show will bring!
We're thrilled to share the excitement from our Board Games Club, where our EYFS and KS1 children have been having loads of fun while developing crucial social skills!
From taking turns to listening and collaborating, our little ones are learning how to play together in an enjoyable and supportive environment. These essential skills will not only help them in the classroom but also foster friendships that last a lifetime!
Here are some highlights of our recent sessions:
Turning Taking: Watching our children enjoy the suspense of waiting for their turn.
Listening Skills: It’s amazing to see them focus as they follow game instructions and cheer each other on.
Collaboration: Our young players are learning the importance of teamwork while enjoying their favourite games!
We are looking forward to more laughter, learning, and gaming after the February Half Term!
Over the past 6 weeks, our Year 4 children have been taking part in the Tiger Challenger Troops programme - an exciting character development initiative designed to help them reach their full potential.
Each weekly session focussed on key values such as courage, discipline, respect, integrity, loyalty, and selfless commitment, helping students build confidence strengthen their interpersonal skills, and become more effective contributors in the classroom.
Rain or shine the children showed great enthusiasm and determination throughout, embracing every challenge with a positive attitude. It has been wonderful to see their resilience grow, and they have truly enjoyed this experience.
Check out the photos to see them in action!! 🥳🐯
The Dog Mentor 🐕
We would like to say a big well done to our dog mentor monitors this term. They have been amazing. Arlo has enjoyed spending time with them and appreciates all that they do for him.
🔭 Year 5 Science Museum trip 🧑🔬
We are delighted to share details of our recent trip to the Science Museum in London, which proved to be an exceptionally enriching experience for our students. Travelling to the museum, the children demonstrated commendable behaviour, displaying both enthusiasm and respect throughout the journey.
During our visit, the children participated in the "Mission into Space" workshop, where they explored the fascinating realm of outer space and the various methods by which we can reach it. The workshop provided an opportunity for the pupils to learn about notable figures in the field of space exploration. Some of our pupils were chosen to experiment with the workshop host, an experience that they will surely remember.
The exploration of the space area allowed students to gain insights into how astronauts survive in space, including their diet and daily life aboard a shuttle. To further enhance their learning, the children viewed a shuttle that had previously ventured into space. Overall, the visit was a success, and we extend our thanks to all the parents for their continued support and encouragement. Your involvement makes these memorable experiences possible for our students.
Polite reminder about parking
We work hard to foster positive relationships with our neighbours in the village and we do have some properties that are next to the school. We would politely ask that you do not park over and block residents driveways at drop off and pick up times. Unfortunately, we have recently been informed that one of our neighbours driveways were blocked by a parent and they had someone that needed access to their driveway and could not access it. Please be mindful of this in order to support our neighbours and to be respectful to them. Thank you very much for your support.
