On Wednesday 16th October, Christian Foley; a musician, poet, writer and educator, who has grown a huge following on social media and featured on various radio and television shows, came to visit us at school. Over the last decade, Christian has worked with thousands of children, and hundreds of teachers every year, visiting primary and secondary schools and delivering workshops for staff and students. Throughout the day, Christian delivered workshops to classes, tailored to their age group as well as a whole class assembly. All of the children were so engaged and enthralled with Christian's activities - a great way to get them inspired with some poetry!

Tag Rugby
I'm excited to share some highlights from the recent Tag Rugby event that our Year 5 and Year 6 students attended. It turned out to be a fantastic day, showcasing their skills, wonderful spirit, and teamwork.
The students played a total of six games, and they did really well! We had some close wins and even managed to draw one match, which was a great achievement. What stood out the most was the incredible team spirit they all showed. Their positivity throughout the day and eagerness to keep playing was inspiring.
It was also great to see how kind and supportive our students were towards others, even when things didn't go their way. Their sportsmanship was noticed by staff from other schools, who commented on how well our team listened to the advice from their Year 10 helper. This shows our children's great attitude towards learning and improvement—a big thank you to all the parents who came to support the teams. Your encouragement made a huge difference and contributed to the positive atmosphere of the day.
I look forward to more exciting events ahead!
Languages club
Languages Club has been a huge success this term. The children have been having a great time exploring different languages and cultures.
Our students' engagement has been fantastic! They've enjoyed colouring flags from various countries and writing fun facts. It's been wonderful to see their creativity come to life through these activities.
Many children even created slideshows to share with the class, demonstrating their teamwork and confidence. Some of them wrote their quizzes, which added a lot of fun to our sessions!
Learning about different countries and cultures is essential, as it helps our children understand the world better. I encourage you to continue these conversations at home—perhaps by learning a few words in a new language or sharing stories about various traditions.
Thank you for your support in making this journey enjoyable for your child. We’re excited to keep building on this enthusiasm in the new term!
