Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to you all following a term that has been packed full of celebrations. The final week commenced with our first visit to St Martin's Church in two years. It was a joyful occasion, our home away from home was bursting with song and good cheer. All of the children sang, performed and spoke admirably and made me extremely proud. Members of the Church community thanked the school and made clear how they have sorely missed the youthful energy and fabulous singing that our children always bring. We thank them for their ever-present support and warm hopsitality and wish them all a restful Easter.
The festivities didn't stop there, we were delighted to see such a fantastic crowd of families in attendance for our school Easter singing service in the afternoon. Both our Easter and Christmas events have been a huge hit and we thank you for your support, it means the world to the children and us as staff.
Many people would expect that in our final week we would perhaps wind down, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Learning has continued at high pace, packed full of exhibitions, showcases and amazing work. I was amazed to see fantastic homework exhibitions that take learning deeper and present the children with an opportunity to share their hard work and enthusiasm.
Furthermore, Mrs Palmer's netball team came home with a podium finish in the tournament hosted by Greenfields and were commended not only for their fantastic teamwork and effort but also by their sportsmanship and care for others. This is a testament to their hard work in training and togetherness. I personally look forward to the warmer weather (something I seemingly jinxed in my last newsletter) bringing more sporting opportunities and chances to engage with our community. Such enrichment activities are integral in the development of our young people and they flourish in such settings.
I wish you all a restful and safe Easter break and remind you that we commence school again on Tuesday 19th April
