Weekly Update

14th May 2021

New NSPCC Helpline

The Department for Education has commissioned the NSPCC to launch a new helpline called Report Abuse in Education. The helpline comes after numerous anonymised testimonials of sexual harassment and abuse in schools and colleges were shared to the Everyone’s Invited website this week.

If you are concerned about something, you can contact the NSPCC helpline Report Abuse in Education on 0800 136 663 or email help@nspcc.org.uk.

Lunchboxes

A reminder that fruits and vegetables need to be safely cut, and if necessary peeled, before going into a child's lunchbox. There is a lot of guidance online about how to do this. Please also consider the packaging you are giving to your child and that they can open it independently.

After School Clubs Term 6

We will be opening payments via the ParentMail app on Monday 17th May until Friday 21st May for after school clubs commencing Monday 7th June. To make a payment you will need to log into the ParentMail app, go to accounts – payments – shop, and then select the club you wish your child to attend. Spaces are limited for each club - if you have paid, this means your child has been allocated a space and is confirmation your child can attend. If you are unable to make the payment this will mean the club is full and your child will not have a space.

Once your order is received we will add your child's name to the dinner register and payment will then be required via the ParentMail app. Cost: £2.40.

If your child is at the Juniors and normally has a meal on a Thursday you do not need to do anything.

Blaze

Before Benjamin became poorly, he had created a logo and his vision was to put this logo onto items (t-Shirts, bottles etc) and make a company.

In his honour, his 14 year old sister is making this dream a reality and has created a website making the products with his logo. ALL profits are going to 2 charities: Abbie’s Army and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Office Opening Times (Both Sites)

Please be aware that the offices at both sites will be closed between 11am-2pm each day. The phones however, will be monitored, so parents may speak to office staff.

Parentmail

If you are not on Parentmail, please email office@dartfordprimary.org.uk and let us know. We can then ensure you receive school communications via this app.
