FAFSA & Scholarship Pro Tips:
Create a seperate email for scholarships.
Although we'd hope our information doesn't get sold or passed on without our permission, it could happen. Creating a separate email will help keep all scholarship information in one place.
Put FAFSA deadlines in your phone calendar.
Schools often distribute student aid funds on a first-come, first-serve basis in order of when students complete the FAFSA.
The FAFSA opens every year on October 1st. For many state (California) financial aid programs, the date postmarked must be March 2nd.
Fill out the FAFSA form as soon as you can after Oct. 1 to ensure that you don’t miss out on available aid.
