Think back to your last 5 purchases:

• Did you pay cash for any purchase?

• How many of them were purchased using one of the 8 ways shown in the chart?

• Of the options to pay, how many had PayPal as an option?

This list shows instant payments (an alternative to credit cards), peer-to-peer payment and buy now, pay later. PayPal claims not only the first spot but the second spot as well after purchasing peer-to-peer app, Venmo, in 2012.

It's definitely getting easier and easier to simply 'click' and purchase.
