Earlier this month, Netflix took one more step in its attempt to clamp down on password sharing by bringing measures tested in Latin American markets last year to Canada, New Zealand, Portugal and Spain, with a broader rollout expected in the coming months.
The first chart shows about 1 in 3 people would pay to share their password with others or have a shared account. 12% of the 1,334 individuals survey didn’t know or did not have an opinion on the subject.
The second chart shows the percentage of Netflix account out of all the streaming platforms in different area around the globe. South Korea, France, and Austria all have strong subscriber bases. It is interesting to note the percentage of Netflix accounts in the U.S have dropped in recent years due more competition in the streaming platform market.
