About the Presenter

John Garofolo is the author of “Dickey Chapelle Under Fire: Photographs by the First American Female War Correspondent Killed in Action.” An Iraqi war veteran, John recently retired from the Coast Guard as Captain. A former Vice President at 20th Century Fox, John has a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and has taught at the Coast Guard Academy and Yale University.
