Who: The Laredo College Dual Enrollment courses are for any students who are in the P-TECH/SPECA programs, or for students who are interested in earning college hours while in high school. Students need to have taken the TSIA prior to taking Dual Enrollment college courses.

The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introduction to human movement that includes the historical development of physical education, exercise science, and sport. This course offers the student both an introduction to knowledge base, as well as, information on expanding career opportunities.

University Physics I is the first part of a two-course sequence. Fundamental principles of physics, using calculus, for science, computer science, and engineering majors; the principles and applications of classical mechanics, including harmonic motion, physical systems and thermodynamics; and emphasis on problem solving.
Prerequisites: College ready in Reading, English and MATH 2413.

Why: Dual enrollment courses provide our students with opportunities to get ahead while still in high school. The courses offered at Cigarroa High School align to the Early College programs offered on our campus, which are the Sabas Perez Engineering Early College and the Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) Early College High School.
