Burns High School is excited to host this year’s 2A East Regional Volleyball Tournament on October 28th & 29th, 2022.   We are anticipating a competitive tournament and hope that each of your teams and spectators will enjoy their stay in Burns.  Please read carefully the attached information concerning the tournament.

BANDS:    Due to limited seating we are requesting that bands DO NOT attend this event.

BANNERS/NOISE MAKERS:     Signs made of non-rigid materials such as Styrofoam, cloth and paper are permitted.  Signs may be no larger than can be held by one person.  No sign or flag supports of rigid materials such as wooden dowels, paint paddles, golf club shafts, etc., will be allowed.  Artificial noisemakers, such as air horns, cowbells, megaphones in the crowd, sirens, clackers, etc., are not allowed in the gym.  Unusual noise at any activity that is created by fans or participants that would interfere with the competition or the enjoyment of the fan is prohibited.  BHS reserves the right to remove any item or person that is causing disruption to the game or is deemed unsportsmanlike in nature.  Attendance is a PRIVILEGE – please help in getting this information to your parents and fans planning to attend the tournament.

CHEERLEADERS:     Due to limited seating we will not have cheerleaders.

CONCESSIONS:     Concessions will be provided.  Food trucks and an event tent with a flat screen that will be live streaming the games will be available throughout the tournament. 

RADIO STATIONS:     There will be wireless internet available at the gym. No port plug-ins will be available.

SPORTSMANSHIP:     Spectators, students, teams, and coaches are expected to display good sportsmanship.  Each school is responsible for the conduct of their spectators, students, teams and coaches.  There should be an administrator present from each school to control their crowd.  Spectators displaying poor sportsmanship could be asked to leave the facility.

ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO-FREE CAMPUS:     NO alcohol or tobacco products are allowed on our campus – use is prohibited on all school property.

TRAINER:     Hughes Physical Therapy services will be available to provide medical assistance during the tournament.

Streaming:     All games will be streamed on the NFHS Network.  Spectators must purchase a pass online in order to watch the streamed games.
