Walking through corridors this week, I couldn't help but feel an immense sense of pride. The fantastic start to this term has set a brilliant tone for the coming weeks ahead.
This week, our hall was transformed into a hub of ambition for our annual Careers Fair. It was a joy to see our pupils engaging with professionals from a variety of sectors. Events like these are vital because they bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world, reminding us why we do what we do: we aren't just teaching; we are nurturing the workforce and leaders of tomorrow.
I am also delighted to share the highlights from our recent Parental Survey. Your feedback guides our improvements and the results were truly heartening.
Reading your comments such as, 'Langley Park is a warm, approachable and professional school' and, 'My children are thriving and actively look forward to attending every day' means the world to our team. Whilst we celebrate these, we are also looking closely at the areas where you have asked for even more growth, particularly in expanding our wrap-around provision.

An estimated one third of children have a social media account and it is therefore vital that trusted adults know what content young people are consuming, what they are posting and what interactions they are having. On social media, it can be very easy to go down a rabbit hole that is not beneficial to our wellbeing.
As social media platforms grapple with managing "legal but harmful" content, lives are being impacted and sometimes this is to tragic effect. Whilst we may be daunted by the scame of tech giants and their content, which understandably enthrals young people, we must still help children to be mindful of their mental wellness. In particular, it is important to ensure young people can recognise when something is not OK and know what to do about content that upsets them.
In the below guide, you can find tips around how to hide content, setting daily limits and discussing what they have seen online with your child(ren).
We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to the Key Stage Lead and/or Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.
