This week at the academy it has been quite busy with an array of learning experiences. It’s been a productive time and I’m keen to share some of the highlights with you.
One of the key events was the Year 1 trip to Leeds Castle. Pupils appeared eager as they boarded the coach, chattering excitedly about what was to come. Upon arriving at the impressive castle, they were captivated by its grandeur. They explored the castle alongside their teachers, learning about its rich history and fascinating architecture. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to make sketches of the castle, capturing its stunning design and beautiful surroundings. They not only gained historical insights but were also able to enjoy the lovely gardens surrounding the castle, where they had some time for a picnic. A big thank you goes out to the parents who contributed to making this trip happen, as well as our dedicated staff who organised everything so smoothly.
Additionally, we held an assembly this week with the Family Trust who provided a presentation focused on teamwork and kindness. Through various activities and discussions, the children were prompted to consider the importance of supporting each other and how such actions can positively affect our community. It was encouraging to see their participation, and the key messages served as a reminder of our collective responsibility in fostering a caring school environment.
As we conclude this week, I take a moment to acknowledge the curiosity and dedication our pupils continue to show. Their willingness to learn and form friendships is what makes our academy a notable place to be. Here’s to ongoing educational experiences ahead!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Academy Office Hours
A reminder that, due to the busy nature of the Academy Office environment and the constant flow of phone calls, emails and visitors throughout the day, that in order to protect the wellbeing of office staff the phone line into the academy is closed between 12:30 and 13:00 each day. Our office team is always happy to be on hand to answer your queries and messages however, during this lunchtime period we ask that you leave a voice message and staff will return your call as soon as possible after 13:00. Alternatively, you may wish to consider sending an email instead.
Parking
For a short period of time, we observed an improvement in the driving and parking of parent/carer vehicles on the academy site during busy drop off and collection times. Since the start of Term 3, however, staff have once again noticed that vehicles are being parked across walkways and safe crossing areas and outside of designated parking bays. As an academy, we are extremely fortunate to have such a large car park that can accomodate so many vehicles. If you must bring a vehicle onto the site to drop off and/or collect your child(ren), we ask that you be respectful at all times with regards to where you park your vehicle and the impact this may have on the safety of everyone on site and, in particular, our pupils.
