PASS Lane Bridge to Industrial Trades is designed specifically for students who seek additional support in math, reading, writing, digital literacy, and/or study skills prior to starting credit classes in Manufacturing, Welding, and/or Drafting at Lane Community College. Students concurrently enrolled in MFG 101, MFG 102, MFG 103, CNC 101, WLD 121, WLD 143, or DRF 160 are also welcome to enroll in this class. In addition to skills development, students receive personalized coaching, industry exposure and career development support.
The PASS Lane program is ideal for: Adults with skill gaps, students who have been out of school for a long period of time, English Language Learners, and GED students. PASS Lane is for students seeking an individualized & supportive experience!
Upon completion of this course, students may continue to complete a Career Pathways Certificate in Industrial Trades, which can then be used to acquire gainful employment or to continue to higher-level certificates/degrees.
The Fall 2020 PASS Lane Bridge to Industrial Trades class is non-credit, non-graded, and free. If students are concurrently enrolled in credit-level Manufacturing, Welding, or Drafting classes, there are some scholarship and financial aid opportunities available for qualified students. Students currently receiving SNAP food stamp benefits can also be enrolled with support in our STEP @ Lane program.
Contact us or attend a weekly Info Session to register for the course!
