Hello Taylor Creek Families!

I am extremely excited to be joining Lampasas ISD and more importantly the Taylor Creek Family. I am originally from Pennsylvania where I attended Penn State to earn my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. I taught for a few years at the same elementary I attended as a child before promoting to a School Improvement Coach. I moved to Texas in 2013 and taught in Copperas Cove ISD. I was a grade level leader, served on several school wide committees, earned the Student Choice Award for 2019, and helped my campus earn some of the highest STAAR scores in 4th and 5th grade. I earned my Master's of Education in Leadership and Administration from Texas A&M in 2017. The last three years I have had the pleasure of working for Waco ISD as an Assistant Principal at a high performing mega-campus, helped a campus that had been failing earn their highest achievement scores since 2010, and received the 2021 Outstanding Adopt-A-School Coordinator Award! The power of being an educator is priceless! The positive impact on children and their families can truly change the trajectory of a child's life. In addition, to being an educator I was a Firefighter/EMT. I am committed to ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and families at Taylor Creek Elementary!

My wife and I have a blended family with three high-schoolers and two dogs! Kaleb our oldest will be a Junior this year and plays soccer and runs cross country. Kaydynce is our middle child and plays basketball, volleyball, and does track. Shawn is our youngest and plays football, basketball, runs track, and plays baseball. Vulcan and Zena are our two fury four-legged children that have very unique personalities! My wife is originally from Lampasas and my in-laws have served the community of Lampasas for more than 30 years! I am extremely blessed to call Lampasas home as it is a beautiful part of Hill Country!
