Intervention Program

Welcome to the Lakeview Middle School Intervention website! Our staff is passionate about providing additional support to our students!

Mrs. Gibson

My teaching career started in September of 2002 with the Trumbull County Education Service Center -housed at Joseph Badger. I was hired by Lakeview School District in August of 2005. I began teaching as 5th grade Intervention Specialist at Cortland Elementary, and then transferred to the middle school when that building closed. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education (7-12) from the University of Las Vegas Nevada and a Master of Education degree as an Intervention Specialist (K-12) from Kent State University.

My family currently lives in Bazetta Township. I have a husband, four daughters, and a dog named Luke. My husband and I are both Lakeview graduates, and all of our children either attend or have graduated from Lakeview Schools. I enjoy spending time with my family. I am an avid reader and love to travel.

Our students come from a wide array of backgrounds and ability levels. I enjoy working with the students and getting to know their unique personalities and learning styles. My goal is for every student to experience their own successful year. I am grateful to be part of such a terrific school district and community. I look forward to many more years of teaching!

Miss Krygowski

I graduated from Ohio University in 2009 with my bachelors degree in Marketing. After graduation, I began substitute teaching at Lakeview Middle School and feel in love with being in the classroom. In 2011 I went back to school and earned my a K-12 license and Masters degree in Special Education through Notre Dame in Cleveland Ohio. I was hired at Lakeview Middle School in 2013, and I am currently working with 6th grade students in all subject areas. In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking and being active outside. There is so much to look forward to this school year and I think that with all of us working together we can make this a very positive experience. I look forward to working with you and your child to ensure a successful school year!

Mr. Terbovich

I’ve been teaching at Lakeview for 26 years as an Intervention Specialist, but I’ve been a Bulldog for all my life. I graduated from Lakeview in 1982 and couldn’t wait to get back. I taught one year for the County at Neal Middle School in the Mathews district, before I returned to Lakeview. I also teach Physical Education Basic courses at Kent State University. I haven’t always been a teacher though. My first degree is in Community Parks and Recreation, where I work for Chester County Parks and Recreation Department (Pa.) and then I worked for Northside Hospital in their Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit as an activities specialist. I returned to college to obtain my degree in Education and have been teaching and loving it ever since.

After graduation from Lakeview, I joined the Ohio Army National Guard. I proudly served my country for 23 years. I spent most of my service time as a Military Policeman, Infantryman and an Automotive Repair Section Chief. I served overseas for a year in Kosovo and gained some valuable, rewarding memories serving with fellow soldiers and working with the local people and their schools. Working with the United Nations and the other countries opened my eyes to some very interesting cultural differences.

I married my high school sweetheart and we’ve just celebrated 32 years together. We have two wonderful children, Courtney, who is a math teacher at TCTC and Ian, an Intensive Care Unit Nurse at Akron City Hospital. I spend most of my free time doing just about any outdoor activity I can dream of. I spend a lot of time cycling around the beautiful countryside throughout Trumbull and Mahoning counties. I average around 3000 miles per year, so that absorbs a lot of time. I also enjoy backpacking, camping, hiking and any other activity that gets me moving and outside. I have to say that my most enjoyable time is spent with my three wonderful grandkids, Benjamin, Paige and Kiersten. Grandkids are truly a blessing.
