RE: Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) Restaurant Order

To facilitate social distancing and to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19), Governor Pritzker as ordered all restaurants and bars throughout the state of Illinois to exclude patrons from the interior of their facilities until March 30, 2020. These restrictions apply to bars, restaurants and food facilities that have public dining areas or counter services. Restaurants are encouraged to serve food and beverages so that they may be consumed off premesies, as currently permitted by law, through means such as in-house delivery, third-party delivery, drive-through, and curbside pick up. Customers may enter the premises to purchase food or beverages for carry-out or pick up, subject to maintaining adequate social distancing. On site consumption and dining is prohibited.

Please know that there are many questions that do not yet have answers to. However, the Governor, the Village, Lake and McHenry Counties, state officials, IML and numerous organizations are working together to provide those answers as quickly and accurately as possible; your understanding is appreciated.

It is also important to note that grocery stores and other similar retail food operations WILL remain open.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation in addressing this health matter. We are hoping that all things come under control soon and we can get back to our normal daily lives. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the village.
