This course is designed to allow students who have an interest in basic film and video production as well as audio engineering and production to use the studio equipment that is available within the school system to film, edit, and produce videos, films, and commercials. Students will also learn how to produce a "live" event.

Students will learn how to set-up and operate the equipment necessary for studio and remote video productions, how to effectively shoot such productions, and how to handle post-production work, including non-linear editing.

Students will learn to develop a program concept (pre-production) and then nurture it through production, post-production, and eventual broadcast.

In the process of producing school events, students will learn how to conduct a thorough interview. Students will be expected to work with both teachers and students from a variety of subject area disciplines in a cooperative and collaborative manner.
