$3 Million for Watts to the Waterfront

Transform Your Neighborhood

Are you a non-profit 501(c)(3), that has an idea or project that would transform your community? Apply for the one-time Buscaino Community Grants Program. The process is simple: submit your proposal, and then the community will vote to select the grant recipients.


Proposals must benefit the Watts, Wilmington, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, or San Pedro communities. Grant proposals can range from $10,000 to $100,000. Must have 501(c)(3) status or operate under the umbrella of a 501(c)(3) & have a City of LA BTRC.

Application Window: 9 AM, April 12, 2021 to 11:59 PM, April 30, 2021

Proposals Vetted

Applications will be vetted to ensure they meet all the applicable criteria, have been fully completed, and have provided the necessary documentation by the deadline.

Finalists will be notified the week of May 3, 2021.

The Community Voting Period will be from May 10, 2021, at 9 AM to May 31, 2021, at 11:59 PM. Anyone who lives in the City of LA can vote. Each person can vote for one proposal per neighborhood. Proposals will be ranked by votes and funded until allocated monies are used.

Grant Awardees will be announced live in June.

How to Vote

Voting is open to all City of LA residents who are stakeholders in their communities. Each person will be able to vote for one grant proposal in each community.
