We Want Better Gifts!

Growing up, waking up on Christmas morning was the best feeling. Nothing can match the memory of running to the Christmas tree excited to see what was gifted to you. But how many times were you disappointed, just to find some outrageous gifts. Gifts you didn't even think of having or even see as a reward, after trying to be outstanding with your behavior all year. Think about it, just imagine yourself getting socks for Christmas?! Wow out of all of the things, you get SOCKS!? If you actually enjoy getting socks, might we suggest you speak to a psychiatrist or a therapist. But who are we to tell you what you need? Well, socks aren’t the only atrocious gift you can get for Christmas; we compiled a list of bad presents so you know what not to give to your friends and family, and what to pray you don’t get for Christmas.
Here are the worst things you don't want to find under your Christmas tree:
5. Hygiene Products
If you plan to gift someone some sort of hygiene product, don’t. We repeat DON’T DO IT! Think about it, if someone were to give you a toothbrush, mouthwash, razors, or deodorant, for Christmas, how would you take it? You’d think the person is trying to subliminally tell you that you need to take better care of yourself, in other words, they’re saying you smell! Although you may not have this intention when gifting your friends or family this, it can be very rude and could imply their self-care is terrible. You don’t want to offend anyone, do you? If you don’t want your relationship with the recipient to go down the trash with the gift, try gifting something more thoughtful and memorable to them. Maybe a rubber duckie would make them feel very happy, aside with some candles.
4. Self Improvement Books
Books. Out of all of the things you’ve been expecting to get for Christmas, and you get books?! That's pretty darn sad to think about. We genuinely don't suggest you get anyone a book. Especially if it is a self-improvement book. This will either make the person feel like they lack intelligence or might indirectly indicate that they need to get their life together. Why are you even giving other people advice? What are you, a life coach? For this purpose, if we were you, and you don't know what to give a person for Christmas, a PS5 is the right thing for that person. It’ll make them feel very thankful and happy and for kids, this will guarantee them to earn straight A’s for the rest of the semester. They’ll really appreciate it. Who even reads books nowadays? #Gaming #LifeIsRoblox #OGFortnite #StayOnThatGrind.
3. Christmas Sweaters
AHHHH!!! Where do we even start? We wonder what goes into a person’s mind when they’re thinking about buying a Christmas sweater for someone. Who even actually wears them? If anything, it’s probably only used once or twice, and never again. Typically these sweaters look silly, and sometimes these sweaters actually make people sick. Instead, just get an actual good sweater with better material and in better condition. Let's admit it, we all know Christmas sweaters are always making us itchy. We genuinely hate wearing them, and the designs on them are cringy, don't get me wrong, all respect to the people making them, but PLEASE make better designs.
Warning: Do Not Gift Someone A Christmas Sweater!
2. Gift Cards
Don't feel too ashamed about getting a gift card. I mean it has money, it has value, but like c'mon now!! That's not even a bad gift right?! WELL YOU’RE WRONG! Gift cards are mid. You should be giving your brother or sisters a much better gift. As long as it is a V-bucks gift card or Robux gift card that’ll be okay. These cards have value and a much better purpose because you have the option to do whatever with these cards. Other than that they're still mid. It's just a simple card with a darn code on the back. Some even come with just a huge logo, making you want to cry and mad just looking at it. If we were you and you see cards in those shopping malls or grocery stores, DON'T YOU EVEN DARE TO GO NEAR IT. TRUST US DON’T! These gift cards are also so easy to lose, which is another reason not to give gift cards on Christmas, it could be a waste of money. It’ll disappoint the recipient. :/ This is the most predictable and unoriginal idea. This will definitely make them feel unworthy of a better gift.
1. Hand Me Downs
Have you ever heard of the term “Hand Me Downs”? The term is used to describe things, especially clothes, which have been used by someone else before you and which have been given to you for your use. Now how would you feel if you found a sweater that your cousin wore a couple weeks ago under YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE? This gift is basically like a last-minute present, like the last resort because clearly you didn’t put any thought process behind it. Unless you're like a fashion geek, the clothes might actually be good. But if you haven’t been blessed by the one and only thrift god, make sure that you aren’t giving any sort of hand-me-downs this year. It will never actually be yours. It’s like getting your older siblings' phone only because they got a new one and now you have their almost dysfunctional phone. Just buy new clothes, it’s not hard to go out shopping, or you can literally do online shopping from your bed, don’t be that person who gives hand-me-downs.
Gifting something on this list can literally ruin someone’s Christmas. Who are you? The Grinch? Don’t ruin someone’s Christmas spirit. You are truly wicked and barbarous if you plan to award someone with these gifts. So whatever you do, do not give someone something on the list above for Christmas.
