The Mission of KAST (Kentucky Association for School Technology) is to empower the educational community in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to infuse technology as an integral part of the educational process through advocacy and leadership, promoting educational excellence and supporting technology-based innovation.
The Kentucky Association for School Technology (formerly KySTE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional organization dedicated to advancing education through the power of technology. KAST is governed by a Board consisting of 9 officers, 8 Regional Representatives, and an Executive Director, all of whom (except for the Executive Director) volunteer their time. The board meets monthly, and sponsors two major events each year, it's Fall Training Event, and a large conference in March.
Its members consist of district technology coordinators, technicians, tech resource/integration specialists, Student Technology Leadership Program coordinators and sponsors, library media specialists, general district and school leadership, and classroom teachers who share a passion for the use of technology in learning.
