The Arizona State Board of Education has approved diploma seals in the areas of the Arts, Civics, Finance, and World Languages. Kingman Unified School District #20 encourages its students to pursue their passions in these areas and work toward earning these distinguished endorsements, which may be added to their high school diplomas upon graduation.
These seals recognize high school students who demonstrate proficiency through related coursework and successfully complete additional assessments and extracurricular requirements. Students who earn a seal receive a designation on their diploma and a notation on their official transcript, recognizing their achievement and commitment to excellence.
Diploma Seals: Information & Requirements for Students
Are you passionate about the Arts, personal finance, or world languages? Kingman High School, Lee Williams High School, and KOLA High School students are encouraged to apply for special diploma seals!
Arizona diploma seals are open to all graduating Kingman Unified School District #20 high school seniors who meet the necessary benchmarks.Leading up to your Senior year, please take these necessary steps to acquire for each Diploma Seal:
Plan Ahead: Many seals require multiple years of participation in specific courses, activities, or experiences.
Document Progress: Start tracking your involvement early.
Gather Evidence: Collect and organize your files now to submit during your senior year.
Capstone Project (Arts Proficiency Seal Only): The Seal of Arts Proficiency requires a capstone project in collaboration with a teacher mentor.

Seal of Arts Proficiency
This prestigious honor celebrates high school students who demonstrate elevated levels of proficiency in the Arizona Arts Education Standards. Requirements include specific coursework, extracurricular activites, and a capstone project.
Seal of Biliteracy
Seal of Biliteracy
This program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated proficiency in English and at least one additional language at the time of graduation.
Seal of Civics Literacy
Seal of Civics Literacy
The Arizona Seal of Civics Literacy program recognizes high school students who achieve a high level of proficiency in Civics; the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for informed, responsible participation in public life.
Seal of Personal Finance
Seal of Personal Finance
This program recognizes high school students who have attained a high level of proficiency in Personal Finance at the time of graduation. Proficiency is determined by the completion of a set of Arizona State Board of Education-approved tasks.
