Rio Salado's Educator Prep Program and the National Science Foundation Noyce Scholar Program (SMILE) are hosting an educational technology conference on Saturday, August 5, 2017, in the Rio Salado College Conference Center (Tempe) from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The AZ K-12 Ed Tech Conference: Empowering the Student-Centered Classroom will serve as a great low-cost networking and professional development event. Continuing education credits will be offered (7 hours). Registration is required with a cost of $14.00, which includes a catered lunch.
This conference provides hands-on technology professional development for pre-service teachers, educators and homeschooling parents who are looking for new ways to engage children with technology and make learning more meaningful. Sessions will focus on leveraging educational technology to impact learning in innovative ways. Presenters are experienced K12 teachers who have a national presence in the ed tech world. Each presenter has successfully implemented a variety of ed tech tools and strategies in their own classrooms and has supported teachers in a variety of subject areas to do the same.
