Kessel Run

Air Force Pitch Day

WHAT

Kessel Run Pitch Day

WHERE

One Beacon Street Boston, MA 02108

WHEN

Friday, July 26 2019

Overview

Many mind-blowing ideas are being birthed in U.S. startup companies. In order to capture these ideas, the Pentagon must do business at the speed of innovation: inspiring and accelerating startup creativity toward national security challenges.

"Pitch Days are new fast tracks for startups to work with the Air Force. Modeled after commercial investment pitch competitions, our goal is to award $40 million to startups using one-day, one-page contracts. These awards use convenient credit card payments— we want partnering with the Air Force to be easy and energizing!" Dr. Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics

Topics

Kessel Run Pitch Day is open to all ideas furthering the acquisition of software and weapon systems to include the development and fielding of worldwide aerospace command and control applications. Our Pitch Day has special interest in the following three areas:

1. Security Tools and Services: Tools to monitor the security of unclassified software development environments, to include security of on-premise and cloud-hosted applications, as well as technologies that enhance the security of software development systems, pipelines, and code repositories.

2. Edge as a Service: Technologies to operate and maintain continuous and secure cloud-native operation in low-bandwidth environments.

3. Enterprise Platform Tools and Services: Technologies for enterprise platform design, development, and delivery, as well as technologies that facilitate application and infrastructure monitoring, API management and integration, legacy system virtualization and hosting, and container orchestrations and security.
