The Hub
Northumberland Hills P.S.
Welcome Back!
A big welcome back to all of Northumberland Hills students, whether you are learning in the school or in a virtual classroom. I hope you had a wonderful summer. It is so great to be back with all of you.
Some things look very different this year, but other things still look the same. There are masks, but there are still smiling faces under them. The Hub is closed for now, but library books are still coming to you. Mindful Mornings are not happening in the library, but there are many ways to have mindful moments throughout the day.
Let's look forward to a great year of learning!
~Ms. Whitney

June 25, 2020Welcome to the Hub
During Distance Learning
Distance Learning during this time of school closure is new and different. It has challenges and I am here to support and connect with you through The Hub.
In my teacher role, I have been helping with technology and working with your teachers. In my librarian role, I have been posting notes in Edsby to offer ideas and activities and just to connect with all of you. Now, I'm ready to say hello through this site!
Here, I will post suggestions for learning experiences and exploring "just for fun" activities each week. There will be links to programs you were participating in during your library time, like the Forest of Reading. AND, a place for you to recommend a good book.
Remember: While the school is closed, the Virtual Library continues to be open to help students, and parents, access resources. Your teacher may have already set you up with links to some of the apps that are in the Virtual Library or "VL".
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
