My family is not big, but also is not small: Dad, Mom, me, my brother, and my sister. We live in Kiev.
My mother’s name is Maria. She is a good looking woman of forty. She is a dentist. I think it’s a very important job, because she treats people’s teeth.
My Dad is forty-five, his name’s Igor. He is tall, strong and very athletic. He is a translator, and he works for a publishing house. My parents both like their work very much.
I’m fifteen. I go to gymnasium. My favourite lessons are English and Spanish. I like foreign languages as my Dad, so I want to be an interpreter. After school graduation I will enter Kiev Linguistic University.
My elder sister Katya is nineteen, she goes to the Kiev National University, and she wants to be an archeologist. She is fond of ancient history and archeology. In summer she goes to excavations of ancient towns, such as Olvia and others.
My younger brother Sasha is eight years old, he goes to school. He likes spending time outdoors, playing computer games and watching TV.
My grandparents are retired. They spend a lot of their time in the garden, growing vegetables and fruits.
We have united family and always help each other. Everyone in my family is my best friend. I love my family very much.
My family
Meet my family. There are five of us – my parents, my elder brother, my baby sister and me. First, meet my mum and dad, Jane and Michael. My mum enjoys reading and my dad enjoys playing chess with my brother Ken. My mum slim and is rather tall. She has long red hair and big brown eyes. She has a very pleasant smile and a soft voice. My mother is very kind and understanding. We are real friends. She is a housewife. As she has three children, she is always busy around the house. She takes care of my baby sister Meg, who is only three months old. My sister is very small and funny. She sleeps, eats and sometimes cries. We all help our mother and let her have a rest in the evening. Then she usually reads a book or just watches TV. My father is a doctor. He is tall and handsome. He has short dark hair and gray eyes. He is a very hardworking man. He is rather strict with us, but always fair. My elder brother Ken is thirteen, and he is very clever. He is good at Maths and always helps me with it, because I can hardly understand all these sums and problems. Ken has red hair and brown eyes. My name is Jessica. I am eleven. I have long dark hair and brown eyes. I am not as clever as my brother, though I try to do my best at school too. I am fond of dancing. Our dancing studio won The Best Dancing Studio 2015 competition last month. I am very proud of it. I also like to help my mother with my little sister very much. Our family is very united. We love each other and always try to spend more time together.
My name is Sergey. I’m twelve years old. I’m in the sixth grade. I have a lot of friends but I want to tell about my best friend. His name is Alexander. He’s my school-mate. Sasha is cheerful, inquisitive and kind. He is very responsive. He will help me in hour of need. I always can rely on him. Sasha goes to sports school. He is very tall that’s why he goes in for basketball. On weekends we play football or cycle. Sometimes we go fishing and fish crucians. Also he is fond of playing computer games and watching horror films. His favourite films are “Saw” and “Scream”. We often go to the cinema. Sasha is true friend. My father says that I’m lucky because I have so reliable and true friend. I value our friendship.
My best friend
I have a lot of friends. Most of them are classmates. My best friend called Andrey. He is fourteen. He lives with his parents not far from the school.
Andrey has a lot of hobbies: he likes to play the computer, to read detective stories, to collect butterflies. He likes animals, espesially cats. He has got a cat Lastik at home.
Andrey has short, light hair and grey eyes. He is quite short and rather thin. He always manages to be cheerful, energetic, full of life and energy. He is helpful and honest.
Andrey is very popular. Hе is a helpful person and every time he tries to do her best to help somebody when he has problems.
Andrey is very attentive to his parents. Of course, he has some drawbacks - sometimes she is a hurly-burly boy, a bit stubborn. But still like him as she has a good sense of humour and pleasant to deal with.
We spend much time together - watch video or listen to the music, walk or go to the cafe discussing all sorts of things. Our friendship helps me feel strong and sure of myself.
