Mahabad Azad Mohammad 

Welcome to my Academic Profile page. My name is Mahabad Azad Mohammad. I am Director of Graduate Studies and Scientific Affairs, and I am a Lecturer teaching in the Department of Kurdish Language, Faculty of Education at Koya University, Kurdistan Region, F.R. Iraq.

I have a B.Sc. degree in Kurdish Language and Literature, M.A. degree in Modern Kurdish Literature and a Ph.D. degree in Philosophy of Literature and Kurdish Literary Criticism - 2013 University of Koya. I am a Director of Graduate Studies and Scientific Affairs University of Koya Presidency, and I am a Lecturer - University of Koya, Faculty of Education, Kurdish Department. Also my Previous Positions Director of Mala Gawra Research Center, and Founding  Member and Active Permanent Member - Mala Gawra Research Center, University of Koya.

During eight years of work at this center, participated in organizing and preparing several conferences, scientific meetings, and workshops.

My language Certificates are:  

B1/B2 German Language Certificate, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (iik – Georg-August-Universitat- Gottingen); With approximately eight years of experience and living in Germany.

My duration of university service: 16 years.

My Major Project and Achievement is  Historical Documents Project. Led the process of cleaning, restoration, digitization, and preservation of approximately 37 historical documents from manuscripts and ancient books in the University of Koya library. The project was implemented in collaboration with the Kurdish Heritage Organization for approximately one year and was officially completed on May 15, 2025, with all documents returned to the University of Koya.

My research interest includes Kurdish literature, Philosophy of Literature.
