Hanaa Ali Muhammad

Welcome to my Academic Profile Page. My name is Hanaa Ali Muhammad. I am a Lecturer, teaching in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Health at Koya University, Kurdistan region, F.R. Iraq.

 I hold an MSc in Contaminant Hydrogeology from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, and a PhD in Environmental Science – Bioremediation from Koya University, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. 

 Alongside my academic and teaching responsibilities, I serve as the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) of Koya University, acting as the University’s designated representative and principal liaison with the relevant higher education and accreditation authorities throughout the institutional accreditation process. In this role, I coordinate accreditation-related activities, facilitate institutional communication, and support the preparation and implementation of accreditation requirements across the University.

 At the faculty level, I serve as the Quality Assurance (QA) Officer of the Faculty of Science and Health and as a member of the Higher Committee for the Bologna Process, contributing to quality enhancement, curriculum development, academic standards, and the implementation of the Bologna Process within the Faculty.

 My research interests include bioremediation, wastewater treatment, water quality, environmental remediation, and sustainability, with particular emphasis on sustainable wastewater treatment and environmental management.
