CHALLENGES, Categories and Units

CHALLENGES


A Challenge is a set of problems for the practice of a particular curriculum content. For example, a Multiplication Challenge will include a series of mathematical problems to understand and develop the concept of multiplication.


There are also Review Challenges, which include various pedagogical content and Strategy Challenges, which are created to develop students' thinking skills.


CATEGORIES


These are the main pedagogical areas into which the school curriculum is divided: Numbers and place values, Operations, Geometry, Measurement and Statistics, as well as Strategies and Review.

UNITS


Units are the different small pedagogical areas into which a category is broken down.

For example, the category numbers is broken down into the following units: Integers, Negatives, Decimals, Percents, etc.
