Section 127: Objectives of boards in governing schools
A board's primary objective in governing the school are to ensure that -
(1)(a) the school gives effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including by
(1)(d)(i) working to ensure that its plans, policies, and local curriculum reflect local tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori, and te ao Māori; and
(1)(d)(ii) taking all reasonable steps to make instruction available in tikanga Māori and te reo Māori; and
(1)(d)(iii) achieving equitable outcomes for Māori students.

It is not necessarily the type of school you send your children to; it is the quality of the school that you send your kids to. I found that match at Koru. My dreams for my children are consistent with what the school is providing.
